Imagine aisles and aisles of books filled with stories from all over the world. Old and new alike. The smell, the freshness, the history, the passion and desire within each of their pages. Last year I got the opportunity to attend my first ever lifeline bookfest here in Brisbane, Australia. Held annually, lifeline shops from all over the country congolmerate their many books to create one massive sale. And when I mean massive, I mean ginormous. With books being priced around only $2 which is a huge difference when most books in the bookstores today can go up to around $25-30 or even more for a nice hardcover edition. While I love books in any form, I love the idea of this bookfest as it encourages everyone to read no matter what your budget. I was soooo excited traversing the aisles and rows of bookshelves, and I apologize for saying the word ‘like’ alot in the following videos. Check out what the bookfest looked like below, and if you ever get a chance to go to one, I highly recommend it! It is great fun.
