I was once again rummaging through my old diaries and note collections when I came across this entry. I am always surprised when I find these ideas that I’ve jotted down to open up years later. They’re all great little nuggets of wisdom and inspiration of how to live a motivated life. And so I share with you, my loyal readers, today’s blog – some of the best quotes I’ve ever come across that I’ve incorporated into my daily positive mantras.
“It is a very big idea, connected to freedom but an idea that doesn’t come for free. If we’re serious we have to be prepared to pay the price. Some people say we can’t affort to do it. I disagree. I think we can’t afford NOT to do it. We are the first generation to help unknot the whole tangle of bad trade, bad debt, and bad luck. We can choose to shift the paradigm.” –Bono, U2
“Like a stone caught up in the river streams, I amtired of clinging. Though I cannot see it with my eyes, I trust that the current knows where it is going. I shall let go, and let it take me where it will. Clinging, I shall die of boredom.” –Richard Bach
“The most beautiful aspect in life for me. They are the people who I see myself in, who I see my past, my present and my future; whom I love so much and love me in return unconditionally. Who laugh with me, cry with me, guide me and inspire me. They are the ones who I can depend on. There is no greater bond than that of a happy family. Have gratitude for being blessed with such a wonderful mix of eccentric people” – Lariana
“This was love at first sight, love everlasting – a feeling unknown, unhoped for, unexpected in so far as it could be a matter of conscious awareness; it took entire possession of him, and he understood, with joyous amazement that this was for life.” Thoman Mann
“Friends are like balloons, if you let them go, you can’t get them back. So I’m gonna tie you to my hear so I will never lose you.” –Anonymous
You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off you.” –Maya Angelou
“When you are content to be simply yourself and don’t compare or compete, everyone will respect you, even yourself” –Lao Tzu
