3 Things Health Businesses Could Blog About This World Health Day

This Friday is World Health Day and it got me thinking about what it stands for. Other than commemorating the beginning of the World Health Organisation (WHO), it brings to everyone attention one of most valuable yet understated and underappreciated aspects in our lives – health! There are a number of health businesses out there, but what could they blog about?

I love blog copywriting for businesses that are in the health industry, I am drawn to their passion and mission to help others.

This year’s world health day’s theme surrounds a prevalent problem in our society today – depression.

According to the latest estimates from WHO, more than 300 million people are now living with depression, an increase of more than 18% between 2005 and 2015.

In this post, I share 3 things health businesses could blog about this world health day:

Loving someone who has depression

Taking a different angle, think about how it affects family members and loved ones. The biggest barrier to helping those with mental disorders is the lack of understanding and support. We could share tips on how your health service and/or product could help those affected.

Behind the mask

Another major factor that prevents many from accessing the treatment needed to live healthy, productive lives, is fear. What will people think about me? I need to suffer alone. Thoughts like these happen all the time, in the blog we could share case studies or stories of people who had similar issues and what they did to overcome fears.

Eating to combat depression

Many health specialists are big believers in the saying “you are what you eat”, not to say that depression is caused by what you eat, but rather it can greatly influence your mood. In this post, we could talk about certain superfoods that combat depressed feelings.
